I was aware of your

unrest with our love

While you wished for

more time each week and

while I prayed for

forever, not just today,

you formed and executed

your exit strategy

And while you’d think

your wish and my prayer

were sweetly juxtaposed

I went for coffee

while you abandoned

a naked key on my pillow
