“Useless Things”

The lyrics of “These Useless Things” examine what is important to hang onto during a relationship, and what loses value once the relationship crumbles.

“I’ll take the trash out to the curb
Once I’ve cleaned out they old stuff
Like the bottle that we drank from
When we’d finally had enough
And the sweater you had stolen
From that Baltimore cafe
You said you had to have it
She won’t miss it anyway…”
